Our Fatwood comes from harvest pine species that do not remain at risk of extinction. Born from the wood of old pine stumps that fall apart after cutting, it is prepared by breaking the pine stumps that have a high concentration of natural resin inside. We found that an 8" size Fatwood Firestarter stick, is the correct and ideal measure for basically all applications. Whether you use it on the fireplace, backyard grill, pellet stove or even in the woods while camping, the Ecoblaze Fatwood Firestarter is the ideal choice. Yes, all Fatwood is wood, but not all wood will be Fatwood.
